Nokia, Qualcomm i BlackBerry zajedno u pohodu na automobile

Nokijin odjel za kartografiju i navigaciju HERE, BlackBerryjev QNX i Qualcomm su objavili kako su sklopili partnerstvo kojim će pokušati osvojiti automobile. Do sada je automobil korišten prvenstveno kao sredstvo za prijevoz, ali divovi ‘tech’ industrije, kao i kolege iz automobilske industrije, sve više vide auto kao novi pametni gadget.

QNX Software Systems, u vlasništvu BlackBerryja, proizvođačima automobila pruža uslugu ‘Platform for Infotainment’ kojom su obuhvaćene usluge informiranja korisnika o prometu kao i zabava u vidu reprodukcije glazbe i slično. QNX Platform for Infotainment će u buduće pružiti podršku za HERE Auto rješenje predstavljeno od strane HERE-a, odjela zaduženog za kratografiju i navigaciju u vlasništvu Nokije.

Kao treći partner se našao Qualcomm, čiji će čipovi pogoniti pametne sustave u automobilima. Qualcomm je najavio osvajanje tog tržišta sa četverojezgrenim Snapdragon 600A procesorom s Adreno 330 grafičkim čipom te ostalim komponentama i uslugama zaduženim za osiguravanje najboljeg korisničkog iskustva u automobilima.

HERE and QNX Join Forces to Bring HERE Auto into the Car – QNX Software Systems to demonstrate HERE Auto embedded navigation at 2014 CES

 

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – 2014 INTERNATIONAL CES (NORTH HALL – BOOTH 536)–(Marketwired – Jan. 7, 2014) – QNX Software Systems, a global leader in software platforms for in-car electronics, and HERE, a Nokia business, today announced a new technology partnership with the goal of enabling personalized, cloud-based location services for the connected car.

As part of the collaboration, QNX Software Systems plans to add support for HERE Auto, an embedded navigation experience, to the QNX CAR™ Platform for Infotainment. QNX Software Systems will also demonstrate HERE Auto running in a new QNX technology concept car, based on a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG, this week at 2014 CES (North Hall, booth 536).

HERE Auto is an embedded in-car navigation application that builds on the HERE automotive-grade-quality map, which includes fresh turn-by-turn data for 95 countries. HERE Auto is scalable and supports a variety of platforms.
