Gotovo je: #Microsoft službeno raskrstio s Lumijom :'(

Nakon 5 godina od prvog pojavljivanja Lumia uređaja na sceni, službeno je objavljeno da je Lumia mrtva, barem za Microsoft. Lumia je zamišljena kao svjetlo na kraju tunela, a sam korijen naziva Lumia dolazi od latinske riječi za svjetlo. Prva predstavljena Lumia bila je Lumia 800 krajem 2011. godine, a Microsoft je 5 godina dugu pustolovinu zaključio s Lumijom 650.

Tvrtka BX2 objavila je kako ju je Microsoft angažirao za pružanje tehničke podrške za Lumia i obične telefone koje je Microsoft proizveo. BX2 svoje usluga servisa i podrške nudi u 130 zemalja, a među njima se nalazi Hrvatske, sve susjedne zemlje, ali od nama bližih zemalja Albanija nije na popisu. Za korisnike Lumia uređaja B2X napravio je aplikaciju SMARTAPP za dijagnosticiranje kvara i kontakt s podrškom. Trenutno, barem u hrvatskoj trgovini, ta aplikacija nije dostupna.

Za Lumia uređaja kupljene u posljednjih 6 mjeseci B2X kreirao je SMARTPROTECT servis koji omogućuje kupovinu dodatnih jamstava. (http://www.b2x.com/smartprotect)

Ovim potezom Microsoft je ‘outsourceao’, odnosno izdvojio podršku za mobilne uređaja iz svoga poslovanja i zadužio tvrtku B2X da se brine o Lumia uređajima i o običnim telefonima proizvedenima od strane Microsofta. Uređaji koje HMD Global bude prodavao nisu uključeni u ovaj dogovor.

Zanimljivo je da B2X počinje s pružanjem podrške od ovog mjeseca, što znači da uskoro možemo očekivati službenu objavu finalizacije transfera mobilnog odjela FIH Mobileu i HMD-u te početak rada tvrtke HMD Global, nositelja Nokia brenda.

Za kraj, što reći nego bilo je lijepo dok je trajalo. Lumia uređaji definitivno su unijeli malo šarenila u crno-bijeli svijet smartfona. Za Windows 10 Mobile ovo nije kraj, njegov razvoj se nastavlja. Za one koji više vole dobar hardver od softvera, Microsoft za 2017. godinu priprema Surface Phone, a tu je naravno i Nokia, koja samo što nije došla s novim modelima. 🙂

Beyond customer support services through the self-help app, support websites and call centers, B2X manages a global logistics and service partner network that provides repair services for warranty and non-warranty related device issues. B2X also manages Microsoft’s spare parts supply giving repair centers rapid access to spare parts and accessories.
